26 sector magistrates found absent from duty

About 26 sector magistrates deputed to revise voter list were found absent from their duty during a surprise check.

These sector magistrates were deputed to revise voter list and check booth-level officers in every polling booth in six assembly constituencies in the district, Singh said.

It was found that 116 sector magistrates were found absent from work on October 8 to October 9 in the district, he added.

On the election commission directive, revision of voter list has started in every assembly constituenciesfor preparation in the upcoming assembly polls of 2017.
