2700 IRB constable posts to be filled up in Chhattisgarh

A total of 2,700 posts of constables in the four India Reserve Battalions (IRBs) sanctioned by the Centre to Chhattisgarh will be filled at the district-level across 16 districts in the state .

The recruitment will be done on the basis of district-level roster.

"The decision in this regard was taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Raman Singh yesterday," an official statement said today.

About 2025 posts will be for Bijapur, Sukma, Bastar, Dantewada, Kanker, Narayanpur, Kondagaon and Rajnandgaon districts while the rest 675 posts are reserved for Jashpur, Koriya, Surguja, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Gariaband, Balod and Balrampur districts, it said.
 

Several other important decisions were taken during the meeting to give 'Start-Up' package to the youth under the Start-Up Chhattisgarh project.

Under the package, there will be total waiver on the electricity charges and waiver of Stamp Duty on lease and land cess.

Stamp Duty is also waived on the loans taken till next three years, the release said.

Besides, the meeting also decided to ply city buses on the four routes at district headquarters Mungeli, he said.
