Two boys drowned in a pond while taking a bath here while another one died after he slipped and fell into Chambal river in the neighbouring Bundi district.
Giraj (11) and Vikram (10), both residents of Koli Mohalla, had gone to bathe in the pond in Crasher Basti yesterday when they drowned, Station House Officer of Anantpura police station, Amar Singh said.
When they did not return home, the locals started searching for them following which their bodies were recovered from the pond, carved out due to illegal mining activities, he said.

In another incident, a 17-year-old boy drowned into Jawahar Sagar dam in Dabi police station area of Bundi district yesterday, police said.
The victim identified as Mukaddar Rajjak had gone for picnic with his family members and was bathing when he slipped into deep water and drowned, Station House Officer of Dabi police station, Madanlal Khatik said.
He was found a few meters away near the bank of Chambal river in the evening and taken to Kota Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, he said.
The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem, Khatik said.
