3 children drown in river

Three children today drowned in the Ganga while taking a bath in Vidhyachal area here, police said.

Zubeika (14), Parveen (13) and Mehdi Hasan (3) were taking bath in Gajiaghat when they slipped into deep water and drowned, Superintendent of Police Arvind Sen said.

While bodies of the girls were fished out, search is on for the child's body, he said.
