3 killed in blast at Chinese fireworks storage

At least three persons were killed and four others injured today in an explosion at a fireworks storage venue in China's central Henan Province.

Police said the blast occurred in an unused workshop storing illegal fireworks in Shijing Village, Jiaozuo City.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Further investigation is under way, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
