Three persons were killed and nine others injured, two of them critically, when an auto in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Jind bypass here today, police said.
The deceased were all students of ITI and were heading towards the bus stand after the closure of their institute.
Of the injured persons two--auto driver Kapil and an ITI student Sachin-- were rushed to PGI, Chandigarh in a critical condition.

Seven other injured persons--all students of ITI-- have been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Multi Speciality Hospital here.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Sukhdev and Bittu while one is yet to be to identified.
The truck driver fled from the spot.
