36 students taken ill after consuming deworming medicine

The students of a primary school at Bhatolia village complained of nausea and stomach pain soon after consuming the medicine and were rushed to a Primary Health Centre (PHC) for treatment, Block Education Officer (BEO) Ajay Kumar said.

These students were reportedly given overdose of the medicine by the teachers, he said,

A probe has been ordered.

It was the second incident in Bihar in the past one week after a student had died and three others taken ill after consuming the same medicine in a school at Mushari area in Muzaffarpur district.
