Five children working at different shops in Sadar Bazar police station area were freed today and a stern warning issued to those violating Child Labour Act.
"Under the Operation Smile, five children at different shops were freed from child labour. While warning has been issued to those who were taking work from them, violating Child Labour Act, parents were advised to send them to school. The children would be provided all help for their study," DySP Ajai Pal Sharma said.
The children freed are Samir (9) son of Salim, Shahrukh (12) son of Balo, Sonu (11) son of Virendra Giri, Daini Mahor (15) son of Narain Das and Takir (12) son of Mukeem.
The Operation Smile drive would continue, he stated.
