Two men were today arrested with a US-made pistol and three live cartridges in the city.
The accused, identified as Sunil Jangid and Vikram Tak, had opened fire at the house of their friend Yogesh Joshi last night though no one injured in the incident, police said.
"Taking prompt action on the compliant filed by Joshi, Sunil was today arrested from a place with a US-made 9 mm pistol and one cartridge. On his information, Vikram was held with two live cartridges and four shells," DCP (West) Kailash Chand said.
The officer said the accused, who were the friends of Joshi and property dealers, consumed liquor and went to the house of Joshi in a car and called him outside. When he did not come out, they opened fire.
Further investigations are on into the matter, he added.
