Five persons were killed and one was injured when their car overturned near a village in the district this morning, police said.
The accident occurred at around 11 AM near Nadigadda village on the National Highway-44 when a tyre of the SUV, heading from Hyderabad to Karnul, burst as a result of which the vehicle overturned and fell on a road side, Pebber police sub-inspector Prakash Yadav said.
Five passengers of the ill-fated vehicle died on the spot. The bodies were moved to Wanaparthi government hospital for postmortem, he said.

All the car passengers were residents of Old City area in Hyderabad.
