Five killed in truck mishap in MP

Five persons were killed and as many were injured today when a borewell machine mounted truck overturned near Abada village, police said.

The incident took place this morning when the truck was coming back from Abada village and later overturned while negotiating a turn, Inspector, R S Raghuwanshi told PTI.

While four persons were killed on the spot, fifth one succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, he said.

The five injured persons were admitted in the Shujalpur Civil Hospital for treatment.

The deceased were identified as Tikaram (23), Sahlar Kumar (19), Prajapati (30), Ajit Yadav (19) and Sanjay (age unknown), Raghuwanshi said.
 

All the victim them belong to Kurkudi in Chhattisgarh, he said adding a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations were on.
