6-yr-old raped by neighbour

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour, a college student, in Adilabad district of Telangana, police said today.

The accused, a student of inter second year, allegedly took the girl to his house and raped her on two occasions in the past fortnight, Nirmal Rural Circle Inspector A Raghu said.

Police suspect that the accused is also a minor.

"As the victim knew the boy, she went along with him to his place," Raghu said.

A case was registered against him following a complaint by the girl's parents and she was sent for medical examination.

The accused is absconding and further probe is on, police said.
