Fear grips village after panther takes away a little boy

A two-and-a-half year old boy named Sonu Shivram Bhoir was taken away by a panther today morning at around 8.30 am from Gunj Budhawali (Bangarpada) village in Wada taluka, official sources said here today.

The boy's body has not been traced so far, Wada police station inspector Sanjay Hazare said, adding that a search is on.

The kid was dragged away by the panther in front of his parents who made frantic attempts to prevent it, along with others.

Fear has gripped the village after the incident, the police said.
