7 of a family attack cops, flee with Sub-Inspector's weapon

A loot accused and six of his family members were booked in connection with allegedly attacking a police party in Raipur village here today and fleeing after snatching the service revolver of a Sub- Inspector, officials said.

"Krishna, an accused in a loot case on Yamuna Expressway, and his family members attacked a police party which had nabbed him here," SP rural Ajai Kumar said.

"Service revolver of Nanakpur police outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector Dharmesh Yadav, who had gone to Raipur village along with three other constables, was snatched by Krishna who then fled along with his family members," the SP said.
 

A case has been registered against all the seven accused and four teams have been formed to nab the absconding accused, he said.
