The Punjab government today ordered transfer of nine Punjab Police Services (PPS) with immediate effect.
As per the orders, Simratpal Singh has been posted as Assistant Inspector General (Intelligence) at Chandigarh police headquarters, while Ashwani Kapoor becomes the new AIG (Headquarters), an official spokesperson said.
Similarly, Navjot Singh Mahal has been posted as SP (Crime) at Chandigarh police headquarters, whereas Kuljit Singh will be the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) at Amritsar, he said.
The transfers have been done on administrative grounds, the spokesperson added.
