All India Forward Bloc, a party launched by Subhash Chandra Bose, today said it was against conferring the honour of 'Bharat Ratna' to Netaji and asked the government to declassify all secret files to unravel the truth behind his "mysterious disappearance".
Maintaining that two enquiry commissions earlier were set up by the then Congress governments at the Centre "to inquire into the false story of plane crash on August 18, 1945", the party said the people did not believe this "cooked up story".
In a statement, AIFB General Secretary Debabrata Biswas said the erstwhile UPA government had not cooperated with the latest Manoj Mukherjee Commission by providing it with several files still marked secret.

He said the Mukherjee panel had "established with facts and evidences that the story of the so-called plane crash of August 18, 1945, was a cooked one" and demanded declassification of "all the secret files for public consumption".
Biswas also sought the construction of an INA War Memorial near the Red Fort and declaration of Netaji's birthday on January 23 as 'Desh Prem Divas'.
The statement came amid speculation that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose may be named for Bharat Ratna.
