Ajanta Pharma Q2 net up 20% at Rs 100 crore

Ajanta Pharma today reported 20.43% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 99.96 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015-16, on robust sales.

It had posted net profit of Rs 83 crore for the July- September period of the previous fiscal, Ajanta Pharma said in a filing to BSE.

Consolidated total income from operations also rose to Rs 437.67 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 371.87 crore for the same period of 2014-15.

Ajanta Pharma Managing Director Yogesh M Agrawal said, "Despite challenges posed by currency devaluation's in most markets, we have delivered sound performance in these geographies."
 

The company's stock was trading at Rs 1,553.70, down 2.13%, on the BSE.
