RLD chief Chaudhary Ajit Singh today launched a vicious attack on the NDA government, saying when a Rajasthan farmer killed self in Delhi the government was defending police.
"While a farmer committed suicide in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh were shielding police in Parliament," he said while addressing a farmers rally at Sadabad here.
The RLD chief alleged that Modi grabbed the power at the Centre by "misleading the farmers" by giving slogan of 'Achche Din'.
Attacking Modi, Singh said,"Modi talks about farmers after wearing suits worth several crore rupees."
He alleged that all the promises of brining back black money and making farmers prosperous were turning out to be "false".
Singh said that RLD has always struggled for the cause of the farmers and would continue doing so.
