People in Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh reeled under hot and dry weather conditions while rain/thundershowers lashed some isolated places in western districts of the state today.
Allahabad was the hottest place in the state as the maximum temperature soared to 44.3 degrees Celsius.
The MeT office here said day temperatures changed little over all divisions of the state.
The temperatures were above normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad divisions.
They MeT office forecast said weather would remain dry in the state.
