Amsterdam knife attacker had 'terrorist motive': city hall

A knife attacker who stabbed two Americans at Amsterdam's Central Station "had a terrorist motive", Dutch officials said Saturday.

"Following an initial statement it has emerged the man had a terrorist motive," Amsterdam city hall said in a statement. Police shot and wounded the 19-year-old Afghan assailant following the incident on Friday.
