Ananth Kumar meets Indian team for Blind Cricket

Fertilizer Minister Ananth Kumar today met the Indian team for Blind Cricket to wish them all success in the forthcoming Blind Cricket ODI World Cup to be held in South Africa.

The ceremony took place at the residence of the Kumar, where the Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Sarbananda Sonowal was also present.

Speaking at the event, Kumar said: "I admire and salute the spirit of these players. India team has won the 2012 Blind cricket world cup and I wish them all the best for this year's world cup also and I am confident they will do well again."
 

Sports Minister Sonowal also wished the team for the upcoming event.

Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) organises cricket for visually impaired in the country. It is the cricketing arm of Bangalore based Samarthanam Trust.

The 17-member squad led by Shekar Naik is scheduled to leave for South Africa late tonight. It will be accompanied by 3 officials.
