AP: three B-Tech students hailing from Nepal go missing in sea

Three students of Aditya Institute of Technology and Management (AITAM), Tekkali, went missing after they went for a swim in the sea at Bhavanapadu in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said a group of nine students, all of them third year students, had gone to the Bhavanapadu beach for a swim this afternoon.

While swimming, Vivek Gupta (21), Sumit Patel (21) and Rajkumar Giri (20) went missing while six others returned to the shore.

All three hailed from Nepal, police said, adding that their parents had been contacted.

Police pressed local swimmers into service, but the three had not been traced till late in the evening.
