Archana Kamath's fine run today ended after she went down to Ting Ting Chen of Chinese Taipei in the cadet girls semifinals of the SET Thailand Open Junior & Sub-junior table tennis tournament here today.
Archana, who had beaten compatriot Srushti Halengadi in the quarterfinals and Memkamporn Naja of Thailand 11-7 11-2 11-3 in the pre-quarterfinal, lost today in straight sets 9-11 7-11 8-11.
In the junior boys category, Utkarsh Gupta lost to Tai Chun Yu of Chinese Taipei 1-11 11-13 3-11 9-11.
Sanish Ambedkar won a consolation bronze after losing the semifinals to Thaland's Naphat Panicharoen.
In cadet boys category, Sarthak Seth went down fighting to Cho aeseong of Korea in the quarterfinals. Sarthak was beaten 9-11 11-4 11-3 9-11 11-3.
