Prices of arhar and masoor fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today following subdued demand from retailers.
Marketmen said muted demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the fall in arhar and masoor prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety shed Rs 50 each to Rs 7,900 and Rs 11,100-12,800 per quintal, respectively.
Masoor small and bold also drifted by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,000-5,400 and Rs 5,150-5,450 per quintal, respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 5,800-6,300 and Rs 5,900-6,400 per quintal respectively.
Malka local and best quality followed suit and declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,950-6,450 and Rs 6,050-6,450 per quintal.
