Arhar, urad rise in mixed trend

In a mixed pattern of trading, prices of arhar and urad rose by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on pick up in demand while masoor eased on adequate stocks position.

Traders said pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in arhar and urad prices.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal prices rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,600-5,650 and Rs 6,950-7,250 per quintal respectively.

Urad and its dal chilka local, moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,500-6,100 and Rs 6,800-7,000 per quintal. Urad dal best quality and dhoya also enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 7,000-7,600 and Rs 7,400-7,800 per quintal.
 

On the other hand, masoor small and bold eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,350-5,600 and Rs 5,400-5,650 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality declined by the same margin to Rs 6,300-6,400 and Rs 6,400-6,500 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad 5,500-6,100, Urad Chilka (local) 6,800-7,000, Urad best 7,000-7,600, Dhoya 7,400-7,800, Moong 7,000-7,700, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,800-8,300, Moong Dhoya local 7,800-8,100 and best quality 8,600-8,700.

Masoor small 5,350-5,600, bold 5,400-5,650, Dal Masoor local 6,300-6,400, best quality 6,400-6,500, Malka local 7,000-7,300, best 7,200-7,300, Moth 5,300-5,600, Arhar 5,600- 5,650, Dal Arhar Dara 6,950-7,250.

Gram 3,450-4,250, Gram Dal (local) 3,900-4,100, best quality 4,000-4,300, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,660, Rajdhani 1,660, Rajmah Chitra 4,000-5,600,Kabli Gram small 4,100-6,400, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800-5,200, Peas white 2,700-2,725 and green 2,775-2,875.
