Prices of arhar and masoor rose up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
Traders said increased demand from retailers against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in arhar and masoor prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,100-5,200 and Rs 6,450-6,750 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small and bold edged up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,950-6,150 and Rs 6,000-6,150 per quintal, respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,900-7,000 and Rs 7,000-7,100 per quintal, respectively.
