Armed miscreants loot Rs 3.75 lakh from Panchayat secretary

Three motorcycle-borne armed miscreants today looted Rs 3.75 lakh from a Panchayat Secretary near Saidabad village in Bihar's Jehanabad district, police said.

Saidabad Panchayat secretary, Awadesh Sharma and another female panchayat member Anisha Bharti riding on motorcycle were on way to Saidabad school for distribution of pension when three armed criminals intercepted them and snatched the money Rs 3.75 lakh, officer-in-charge of Kako police station, Amrendra Kumar said.

After looting the money on gun point the criminals fled away, the OC said.

The criminals also looted two mobiles from them.

The OC said raids are being carried out to nab the culprits.
