Arunachal guv congratulates Rijiju

Arunachal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa has congratulated Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on his getting the United Nations Disaster Champion Award for exemplary initiatives and determination in addressing natural calamities and other disasters.

"It is a great honour bestowed on you and at the same time, to the people of north eastern region as a whole and Arunachal Pradesh in particular. It is for the first time an individual, particularly a young minister of the Union Government and also a youth icon of the region is receiving the Award," the governor said in a letter yesterday.
