The Anti Terrorist Front of India (ATFI) today burnt the effigy of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed to protest against his controversial statement made with regard to peaceful assembly elections in J-K.
The members of the Front gathered at Miri-Piri Chowk in the city today and raised slogans against the Sayeed.
While addressing the members the president of the Front Viresh Shandilya criticised the controversial statement of Sayeed.

Shandilya also said that a PDP MLA had demanded for the return of mortal remains of Afzal Guru which was a shameful demand.
Mufti Mohammed Sayeed had courted controversy within hours of taking oath on Sunday, saying the Hurriyat, militant outfits and "people from across the border" - in an oblique reference to Pakistan - allowed conducive atmosphere for the polls.
