ATM machine with Rs 4 lakh cash stolen

An ATM machine of the Punjab National Bank containing Rs 4 lakh was stolen in the wee hours today from Nanak Nagar area of the city, police said.

The criminals, numbering 5 to 6, decamped with the ATM machine in a vehicle, DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua range, Shakeel Ahmed Beig said.

There was no security guard at the ATM at the time of the theft, he said, adding there was power cut in the area also.
