Auto thief held in Noida

A man has been arrested for his

alleged involvement in several cases of automobile theft in Noida and Greater Noida areas, police said today.

A car and two motorcycles were recovered from his possession, Noida phase-2 police station In-charge Ravi Kant Parashar said.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the accused, D Singh, last night, Parashar said adding, up on questioning Singh revealed that he was operating as part of a gang of auto thieves.

Singh also confessed to his involvement in over a dozen cases of auto theft in Noida and Greater Noida areas, he said.
