Barcelona returned to the summit of the Associated Press Global Football 10 today after two wins in a week, including against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinals.

Barcelona beat Bayern 3-0 with Lionel Messi scoring two impressive goals, and followed it up with a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad, leaving the side three points away from winning the Spanish league with two games remaining.

"The 3-0 score seems a little bit harsh for Bayern Munich, but it shows how deadly Barcelona's attacking trio can be," Ubiratan Leal of trivela.Com in Brazil said. "Messi is playing in his prime again, Neymar is scoring as never before in his career and Luis Suarez is unpredictable."

Juventus is runner-up in the poll for beating Real Madrid 2-1 in the other Champions League semifinal, with Paris Saint-Germain third after extending its advantage atop the French league to six points.

It thrashed Guingamp 6-0 on Friday before Lyon lost 3-0 at Caen.

Spanish team Sevilla takes fourth for beating Serie A side Fiorentina 3-0 in the first leg of the Europa League semifinals.

Manchester City enters this week's poll in fifth for condemning Queens Park Rangers to the second tier of English football with a 6-0 victory on Sunday.

Manchester United, Valencia, Chelsea, Wolfsburg and Inter Milan complete the top 10 teams of the week.

In the player vote, Messi beat fellow Argentina international Sergio Aguero, who scored a hat trick in Manchester City's win over QPR, to first place.

"Sergio Aguero could have scored six goals and he wouldn't have exceeded what Messi was able to do against a really good team on a really grand stage," Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch said. "If there was ever a masterful performance, that was the one.
