Actor Javier Bardem has reportedly been offered the coveted role of the pirate Captain Blackbeard in the upcoming 'Peter Pan' film.
The 44-year-old star, who played James Bond's villain in 'Skyfall' is reportedly in negotiations to play the main baddie in 'Peter Pan' movie as well, reported Variety.
British director Joe Wright, behind movies like 'Atonement','Pride and Prejudice' and 'Anna Karenina', is in talks to direct an origin story about Peter Pan for Warner Bros.
Bardem was recently seen in Ridley Scott's 'The Counselor' with wife Penelope Cruz, Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz and Brad Pitt.
He will next star in 'The Gunman' with Sean Penn and Idris Elba.
