Base metals decline in lower demand

Select base metals including copper, brass, zinc and tin declined at the non-ferrous metal market today on stockists selling amid lower demand from industrial users.

Tin prices fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,270 from Tuesday's close of Rs 1,275.

Copper scrap heavy and brass utensils scrap dipped by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 366 and Rs 266 as against Rs 370 and Rs 270 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils, copper wire bar and copper sheet cuttings slipped by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 372, Rs 338, Rs 400 and Rs 357 as against Rs 375, Rs 341, Rs 403 and Rs 360, respectively.
 

Copper armature, brass sheet cuttings and zinc edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 363, Rs 274 and Rs 165 as compared to Rs 365, Rs 276 and Rs 167 previously.
