Birdstrike damages plane in Kolkata

An Air Asia aircraft was damaged when a bird struck its left hand engine while it was landing here today, airport sources said.

The flight from Dubai, however, safely landed with all its passengers and crew unhurt in the morning.

As the damaged engine requires repair, the airline authorities have arranged another plane for its return journey, the sources said.
