BJP today issued a show cause notice to a party activist for misbehaviour by her supporters with national leaders at a public rally in Jammu.

A show cause notice to party activist Aditi Sharma, asking her to explain her conduct by December 13 in respect of the incident which took place on December 9 at Narwal Bala, has been issued, BJP state president and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma told reporters here.

"A public rally was organised by BJP candidate for Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency Kavinder Gupta at Narwal Bala, on December 9 at about noon and which was addressed amongst others by senior national leader Vinod Khanna," he said.

"On its conclusion, in a predetermined and preplanned action, you and your supporters reached at the venue and in a brash and overawing action misbehaved and used extremely rude language with other national leaders present on the occasion," Sharma said quoting the notice.

He further said "on expressing astonishment and objecting such unbecoming behaviour and conduct publicly by party leaders present there, they were manhandled and subjected to rough and intimidating behaviour by your supporters in your presence and within your sight and hearing," Sharma said.

"This incident has been widely reported by the media and has brought the party in disrepute and exposed it to public ridicule," he said.

Asking Aditi to submit her explanation, he said, "Whereas your conduct constitutes flagrant violation of party discipline and hence you are called upon to submit your explanation as to why disciplinary action be not taken against you and expel you from the party for six years," he said.

"Your response must reach to the head office by the noon of December 13, failing which it shall be presumed that you have nothing to say in the matter and action against you shall be forthwith taken," he said.
