Sitting BJP Member of Parliament Harishchandra Chavan was declared elected from Dindori (ST) Lok Sabha constituency in Nashik district of Maharashtra.
Chavan defeated NCP candidate Bharati Praveen Pawar by a huge margin of more than 2 lakh votes, thereby completing a hattrick of victories.
The BJP leader had won the tribal-dominated seat in North Maharashtra in 2004 and 2009 also.
