Blockades by LF against Land Bill

Blockades were put up at various places across Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar districts of north Bengal by CPI-M today to protest against the Land Bill.

The party also protested against getting fair price for their produce.

President Pranab Mukherjee has recently given nod to re-promulgation of the controversial land ordinance, which could not be converted into law during the recently concluded budget session of Parliament, for the third time.

The two-hour blockade by Kisan Sabha and Left Front alliance partners hit movement of traffic in the two north Bengal districts.
