Wheat prices recovered by Rs 20 per quintal in lacklustre trade at the wholesale grains market today in the national capital on tight supplies from producing belts against pick-up in demand from flour mills.

However, other grains including rice basmati moved in a narrow range in limited deals on scattered enquiries and settled around previous levels.

Traders said besides tight supplies in the market from producing belts, pick-up in flour mills demand mainly led to the recovery in wheat prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1,490-1,495 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and edged up by a similar margin to Rs 1,520-1,525 per 90 kg.
