Boiler blast kills man, 6 injured

A 32-year-old man was killed and six others injured when an industrial boiler exploded here today at Irungattukottai, police said.

The boiler, used at the paint shop of an auto accessories assembly unit, exploded when it was turned on for regular processing work by an employee K Abishek.

Abishek was killed immediately. Fire and Rescue Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire and rescued the injured six others and sent them to a hospital.
