The body of a
13-year-old boy was found from an sewage tank at Sama, about 35 km from here in Odisha's Ganjam district today and two persons have been detained in connection with it, police said.
Pradhan Pradhan, a student of standard seven, in a local school, had been missing since Tuesday, police said.
His mother had lodged a complaint with the police and investigation was launched.
The body was found after breaking the tank which was lying on the roadside, the police said.
While police are awiting the post mortem report to begin investigations, tension ran high in the village with the inhabitants demanding immediate arrest of the killers.
At least four platoons of platoons were deployed in the village and two persons, including a teenaged boy of the village, have been detained in connection with the murder.
