Boy seeing off his sister mowed down by her school bus

A two-year-old boy was crushed to death under the wheels of a school bus at Meerpet area here this morning, the police said.

The incident occurred at around 8.30 am when the bus had come to pick up the boy's elder sister, they said.

"The boy's mother was helping her elder daughter board the bus, when the boy went in front of the bus," a police official said.

The driver of the bus, without noticing the kid, drove on and ran over him, he said.

After the incident, the driver fled the spot leaving the bus behind, police said.

A case was registered under relevant sections of the IPC.
