Brig Chatterjee assumes command of Military Hospital in Jammu

Brigadier Tathagata Chatterjee, a molecular hematologist, today assumed command of the Military Hospital at Satwari Cantonment here.

After assuming the command, he met senior officers of the hospital and interacted with them on his first day in office. Various specialist doctors also briefed him about the present condition of the hospital, a defence spokesperson said.

Brig Chatterjee said his main focus would be on patients' care, availability of medicines and best modern facilities in the Military Hospital.

Brig Chatterjee has served in various prestigious hospitals of Indian Armed Forces including Army Hospital (R&R) Delhi Cantonment as professor of pathology and hematology before assuming the present appointment, the spokesperson said.
 

He has also served as professor and head of the department of Pathology and Transfusion Medicine at Armed Forces Medical College in Pune.
