Well known businessman and Panchshil Hotels Chairman Ajay Ishwardas Chordia (47) was today found dead in the Double Tree Hotel in Chinchwad here, police said.
"We found Ajay Chordia's dead body in a hanging state in the gallery of Double Tree Hotel in Chinchwad at 2.45 PM today. We also found a suicide note. We are verifying this note," Senior Police Inspector B Mudiraj of the Pimpri police station said.
The body has been sent to YCM Hospital in Pimpri. Police have not come to any conclusion so far and investigations are on, Mudiraj said, adding that no case has been filed so far.
Chordiya's business has presence in Pimpri and Chinchwad regions.
He was once a director of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India.
