Continuing its losing streak for the third straight day, cardamom prices went down by another 0.88% to Rs 843.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in reducing positions amidst sluggish demand in the spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks position in the physical markets on increased arrivals from producing belts created pressure on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November moved down by Rs 7.50, or 0.88%, to Rs 843.80 per kg in a business turnover of 72 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 3.30, or 0.39%, to Rs 843.10 per kg in 24 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
