Cardamom futures fell 0.70 per cent to Rs 1,374 per kg today as speculators cut down their bets amid muted physical demand for cardamom in the domestic spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks following increased arrivals from producing regions also fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery this month declined by Rs 9.70, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 1,374 per kg in a business turnover of just five lots.

Analysts said, offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
