Cardamom futures fell 2.32 per cent to Rs 1,274.50 per kg today as investors remained on the sidelines amid muted physical demand for cardamom in the domestic spot market.
Moreover, adequate stock position following increased arrivals from producing regions also fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the commodity for May tumbled by Rs 30.30, or 2.32 per cent, to Rs 1,274.50 per kg with a business turnover of 239 lots.

The spice for delivery this month was trading lower by Rs 8, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 1,395 per kg with a trading volume of six lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices.
