Case against taxi union members for 'threatening' GoaMiles

Police today registered a case against members of a union of Yellow-and-Black for allegedly threatening staff members of GoaMiles, an app-based cab service of Tourism Development Corporation.

GoaMiles, the first mobile app-based cab service in Goa, was launched by yesterday.

Cases were registered against Sanjay Naik, of the (UTA), a union of taxi operators at Dabolim International Airport, and four others, said of station.

The UTA members allegedly threatened the staff at GoaMiles' counter outside the airport earlier today, he said.

Police invoked IPC sections 504 (breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) against them, Rapos said. Nobody has been arrested yet.
