A case has been registered against a couple for allegedly duping people in the name of installing mobile towers and online lotteries here, police said today.
On the complaint of a bank manager that several people have complained to him that a couple has been luring them to deposit money in their account for installing mobile towers and online lottery, a case was registered against Radhey Shyam and Kiranvati yesterday, police said.
The couple, who got Rs 6.50 lakhs deposited in this way had withdrawn it recently, police said.
While Radhey Shyam was arrested, Kiranwati has escaped and efforts are on to nab her, police added.
