Celebratory firing at wedding function, teenager dead

A 14-year-old boy was killed in celebratory firing during a marriage function in a village at Kasganj here, police said today.

Shivam, student of class VII, was killed when a wedding guest fired celebratory shots in the air at the function last night in Gadhi village, police said.

The incident happened when the wedding procession was heading towards the bride's house, they said.

The person who fired the shots fled and efforts were on to arrest him, police said adding a case had been registered.
